Donations Welcomed

It takes a lot of time to write this blog and as an engineering student I barely have that time. However, I'm trying hard to do my best.

I'm not asking much in return, just 5 credits now and then from my readers. I will host a cup for the donators when there are sufficient funds.

So just click here and donate! DonJuan

 Let the games begin!

Match of the Round

Round 1: Tôi Yêu SFVP 1:0 Beachlife, Rainbow Stadium
An interesting game between the S.91 SU holder and the S.109 CL holder ending with a minimal win for the Vietnamese but a lot of moral for the next rounds.

Beachlife started better with SpLaSh hitting the post after 5 minutes and later recieved a penalty which was missed by Hayley Williams. SFVP got back into the match but no goals were scored at ther first half.
The teams exchanged attacks in the second half but it was Nguyen Viet Nam who scored 5 minutes from time to give a win for the hosts.

"" (Beachlifeuk, Beachlife's manager)

Round 2: Sauda 0:3 KA Barcelona, Nye Sauda Stadion
Q was not a factor here as the experienced Hungarian manager taught his Norwegian companion a lesson of football (sorry my Canadian fellwos) as KAB won 0:3.

Edward Digby scored a brace after just 11 minutes to bring KAB a comfortable lead, Jordi Rios scored at 17 to make it a one-way road. Sauda couldv'e pulled one back as they recieved a penalty at 29 but Dennis Bergkamp shot it out of the stadium. On the other side Éric Cantona missed a golden opportunity to make a 4-goals lead.
From 3 minutes into the second half Sauda were playing in 10 men after Sol Cambell was sent off by second yellow. However, KAB were not trying to find the net and game finished 0:3.

"they had 3 chances and scored 3 goals.." (Deus87, Sauda's manager)

"This season I have more old players, and my sooperstar attackers are good. That can explain the good results or simply the simulator likes me this season" (Klucsesz, KAB's manager)

Notable Teams

BYM FC, the Vietnamese champions, are the 7th strongest team by avg Q. However, this is their first time in the CL and they made their first win yesterday winning 2:0 against Triple OGs.

PoolEver finished second last season in the Hungarian league and qualified for the first time to the CL. They were dissapointed when they saw their first is against the holders Dinamo Zaragoza but they pulled the biggest upset yet winning a historic 0:1.

Speaking of Dinamo Zaragoza, the holders lost both openning matches as they sit in the bottom of the group. I can't check it but it seems to me like the worst openning for a defending champions.

Still in Group B, and more patriotic, River City achieved their first point in the CL.

Another newcomer is Hentridge FC, the Dutch runner-up. They openned their Group C games with a nice win over Royal Arsenal FC 2:1 and sit second after winning the second round match too. The same we can say about Dorostol, the Bulgarian Champions.

Full list of newcomers: BYM FC (Vietnam), AZZURI-Valchedram (Bulgaria), PoolEver (Hungary), Hentridge FC (Netherlands), Bosphorus (Turkey), Dorostol (Bulgaria), Taffelstickers (Norway), Arslanlar FC (Turkey)
