Being ill really sucks (12/11/2007 10:09) |
Being ill sucks. No doubt. Where is the ANTIVIRUS update when you need it the most??? Today, I am finally back in the office after spending last week home in bed, both a little overworked and quite ill. Not that it was very serious or anything, just a nasty flu. Sore throat, everything clogged up nice and tight, a fever and a general shitty feeling all over. In all honesty, I'm not feeling all that great now either, but at least I don't have a fever anymore. My throat isn't much better though, and today is a day I am thankful I do not have to depend on much talking or shouting to get my job done; There is no voice present today :) However, on the good side, it is nice being back as well, because today is my first day with my new workstation. It's a fancy dandy kickass computer, as far as I am concerned anyway, and a great improvement over my old one, in all aspects. For the techies out there, it's a cute little Intel Core 2 Duo 6850 (3 GHz) with a nice FSB running at 1333 MHz. This happens to be the same speed my DDR3-ram is running at, to minimize wasted clock-cycles waiting for memory. There is nothing wrong with my XFX Nvidia 8800 GTS card either. You wouldn't believe how fast Minesweeper is now! I am also running Windows Vista 64-bit now, and THAT is a new experience! One that probably deserves a blog-entry of it's own, I'll see what I can do about that when I have used it for a few days :) Anyways, nice to be back, and looking forward to find and fix more bugs in ManagerLeague :) No bug to small, no bug to large, one bug to rule them all and in the bugness bind them. Have a great week, folks, and expect some testing to be done over on http://dev.managerleague.com over the next days! Yours truly and bugfully Spinner |
