More improvements! (07/12/2010 14:51) |
I know I said updates would be few and far between these days, as we are trying to build momentum on AD2460, but it seems ManagerLeague has too much momentum to slow down :) Recently, we have been working on some "upgrades", and it's time to reveal what they are.
Please note that these changes will not be in effect until next season, this is just a heads-up notice to get the information out there!
Additions
- The Samsung SuperCup has been implemented. This is a tournament identical to Champions League but for the teams who just failed to qualify, adding more action to the team in the top division and something extra to compete over when it comes to the positions just behind the CL-slots. As we have grown several leagues the last years, the number of CL-slots per league have been reduced quite a lot, so by making another tournament we allow a little more action
- The Samsung SuperCup has it's own section in the Cups-menu, it's own trophies, it's own listing on the Champions-page and it's own top-scorer ranking, and who knows what else
- 9 new achievements have been implemented, for us to know and for you to try to figure out
- Comments in blogs are now date- and timestamped
- A blog-entry will now reveal which team is connected to it, at the bottom of the blog-entry, under the facebook-link.
- The owner of a blog can now chose to to receive a message inside the game every time someone posts a comment in his blog.
- You can now also share a Player on Facebook. What a cool way to brag about your own players! And of course, if someone joins ML after clicking the link of a player you have shared, you get the referral!
- We will finally be able to accept SMS-payments from Thailand, so bring out your mobile phones!
- We will now store and display the avg-Q and avg-performance for all teams in their history. However, this data has not been stored previously, so we do not have this data for past seasons...
Improvements
- Stadium-upgrades can now be cancelled at any time if not completed. All money and credits are refunded upon cancellation. And yes, there is a "OK or CANCEL" popup.
- Player-rankings re-implemented
- 50% more players are ranked in each league, which is good when checking just your league and division
- The ranking-update might take a bit longer to finish, but the site will be MUCH more responsive when it runs. Until now, it has pretty much prevented any use of the site when it runs.
- Additional issue fixed in the generation of the Champions League Top Scorer ranking that reduced the time required from 25 seconds to 0.02 seconds
- Player-performance-measurements have been tweaked, and should show higher performance-values for sucessful defensive actions
- The free-kicks following an off-side situation will now be correctly and completely simulated
Fixes
- Various league-dropdowns have been sorted alphabetically
- On the friendlies page, open challenges from a team in Bosnia and Herzegovina will no longer break the design.
- Disabled colors and smilies in the transfer-forum.
- A simulator-bug was discovered and fixed. The effect of the bug was in relation to the following scenario:
- When a player received a card, he is supposed to calm down a bit to try to avoid his second card. However, due to the bug, this calming effect was removed every 15-minute interval. Fixed now.
- In essence, this should lead to fewer cases of players getting their second yellow in a match. That said, a hothead is still a hothead
- Fixed the annoying wrong printing of positions on the tables-page if you check the tables page while the league-round is still being simulated.
- The only "drawback" is that teams will be listed as #1-16 at the start of the season, even though they are really all in "1st postition".
Other
- To avoid confusion and what looks like slow simulators, you can no longer play friendlies when the simulator is busy with the department-cups or league-cups.
All of these changes will go live on December 23rd, which means there is something to look forward to this Christmas.
Now you know :)
