Examples of upgrades to the Mobile Interface (02/05/2012 22:27)

The game-update that will be installed in the next season-change, contains a number of improvements to the mobile interface.

These changes can be found in the Game Announcement forum inside the game, but I thought I'd show you some examples. I've grabbed some "before and after" screenshots, so prepare to scroll a lot! The "before" shots are always on the left, the "after" are on the right.

Logging in...

More languages have been added, much nicer flags, and a more uptodate logo.

The frontpage now includes the Important Information, so there is no longer an excuse for not reading it.

This also shows the new menu, with a slightly diferent layout, making it easier to find what you are looking for, and with bigger text so it's easier to "click" on them with a touch-phone.

The General-page

It will now show all kinds of matches. As you can see, the interface has been cleaned up nicely.

Larger text, easier to read, and with slightly more information.

Training

It kind of speaks for itself...

Reading a thread is easier with better quoting, links on poster-names, timestamps and line-coloring...

The Team-page

All stats visible, access to individual training, color-coding on fitness, easier to rad. The font is larger too, but the screenshot has been reduced in size to fit on this blog-page.

The mobile player-window

Easier to read, scouting enabled.

Friendlies

Rejecting challenge has been added. Easier to read, cleaner, friendly-counter displayed.

On a more general note, please note the RED text at the top. The mobile interface now shows blue text for "feedback" and red text for "errors" on all pages.

Also note that the header will now show you Unanswered challenges on every page, if you have any.

So, that's it for a few examples. All pages in the mobile interface have been overhauled and improved, complete Staff-management has been added, purchasing credits has been added, and a whole lot more which you will find out soon enough.

Cya out there, in my struggle for relegation!

cool, but all these fancy changes may come as a hard thing to handle for those using a bit older phones, not to mention that it will most surely increase data traffic

but still, it's a good thing happening and it's about time the mobile interface to get a facelift :)

The increase in data-traffic is actually incredibly small. Using simple CSS as before, the extra few bytes here and there will not add up to more than maybe 1% extra. But it's true, old phones were not the priority. That said, even old phones will enjoy the changes, as "easier to read" is "easier to read" on all devices. A more consistent design throughout the site is also good for everyone.

Major posistive overhaul i would say! 2 thumbs up! Most of the time i have to rely on mobile version to keep a watch on my team and these changes are certainly welcomed.

Cheers Spinner!

I have a smart phone, so it won't do anything for me. I would much rather Spinner spent the resources on fixing an obviously broken sim.

What are you talking about ZTN? I am using a smart phone myself, and these are great changes for handling your team when you dont have access to a computer. Have lost count on the number of times I have messed up the player swap/rest all below 95 fitness/change formation buttons because I misclicked.

This was a change that was much needed, thanks spinny!

If ppl have smart phones, why use the mobile version? When you simply can use full version beats me. I use an iPhone 4 and with safari i can enter www.managerleague.com and controll my team like im on my computer.

I should ask since this was the main issue with the old mobile interface, can you now sign a sponsor through it?
